Kärcher Vaporapid AG was founded in 1966 as the third foreign subsidiary of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. In 1991 Kärcher Vaporapid AG changed the company name to the present Kärcher AG. The head office is located in Dällikon (ZH) and currently employs around 150 people.
The sale of products for end customers is mostly conducted indirectly through DIY stores & garden centres, e-commerce, electronics stores, specialist retailers, discount stores, supermarkets, department stores, mail order & TV shopping.
Private customers also receive advice and products directly from the three self-managed Kärcher Centers in Zurich, Lausanne and Geneva, a separate Kärcher Store in Basel and the Kärcher Online Shop.
The Professional products are sold via direct and indirect sales. The eleven Kärcher Centers, 28 Kärcher stores and numerous other specialist retailers cover the indirect distribution. Apart from the traditional direct sales, selected products and accessories are also made available directly in the separate online shop.
